Two words I'd use to describe Cloudburst Café are: bustling and community.
This newly re-opened coffeeshop is home to fine coffee, espresso, teas, and a small selection of breakfast eats outside of pastries like the eggy breakfast wrap, breakfast panini, or locally pressed vegetable juices.
There's almost always a line waiting for coffee, but a quick and friendly staff get you through the lineup quick. Looking around the actual building, you'll notice a lot of people hunkering down with computers: Quest University students writing theses, entrepreneurs finalizing business plans, or maybe a gang of mountain bikers who commonly meet up before hitting the Diamond Head mountain bike trails.
The space essentially doubles as a co-working space with reliable WiFi, large tables, and The Joinery next door (same owners own both), making it easy for people to sprawl out between both restaurants and anywhere outside. Such wonderful and abundant space for community!
I even hosted a recent meeting with some non-local investors at one of the outside Cloudburst Café table, proudly showing off the outdoorsy-ness of our town and yummy eats. They were impressed.
Grab lunch at the Locavore food truck, and stay through happy hour when the Joinery opens, and you have yourself a very delightful day indeed.
Throw in a bike ride, and you have a pretty quintessential outing for the Squamish family.
